His father would beat him at the slightest annoyance, such as when he'd move in his bed and night and cause it to creak, forcing Gyro to learn how to sleep absolutely still. His father scarcely talked to him, forcing him to sleep on the bunk bed and only allowing him to leave twice to go to the bathroom while preventing him from leaving after 9:00. Gyro grew up in a construction camp, and at a young age, managed to learn how to mix concrete and brick before even learning how to talk. His charisma inspired deep loyalty in his subordinates such as Zaiqahal, who even after having been reborn as the Chimera Ant, Welfin, was still determined to locate and reunite with Gyro, going so far as to defy death for his sake. He also possesses a natural charisma which he used to create the NGL. He also displays incredible intellect, having been able to create an entire kingdom despite starting out as an orphan with almost no money. ![]() Having been forced to work ever since he was a child, Gyro learned to be efficient and productive, traits that allowed him to rise up in the world. Despite his desire to spread evil, Gyro is still capable of extending empathy to others, creating a friendship with Zaiqahal over their shared hardships in life and the emptiness in their hearts, demonstrating that Gyro hasn't completely lost his humanity. It is this overwhelming hatred, pride and tenacity that allowed him to break free from the Chimera Ant Queen's control. ![]() Driven by this hatred, he killed his father and set out on a quest to spread evil throughout the world. However, upon realizing that his father never loved him and he only kept him around because Gyro brought in money, Gyro lost his humanity and believed that no one in the universe cared about him. It was because of this that Gyro managed to remain hopeful in spite of having to work tirelessly. He also believed that his father wanted him around because he'd never once asked Gyro to leave. Despite the trauma, neglect, and physical abuse his father forced upon him, Gyro still looked up to him and viewed him as a god because he believed that his father truly loved him.
